Jared, Shelby, Avery, & Fetus (Hunter was at school) went to the doctor today, and Shelby had an ultrasound. The ultrasound tech informed them that the baby is most definitely a BOY! That's right...Hunter will be getting a little brother to mentor. Scary thought. And Avery will have a live baby doll for a little while (that is, until the baby outgrows her). Shelby told me today that baby's name will most likely be Chase Hudson. Avery's already saying "Baby Chase" this, "Baby Chase" that. However, even though Shelby says they're pretty sure about this name, Avery was "Taryn" until about 3 weeks before she was born...so I don't know if it's time to start monogramming just yet (Patty!). But it's definitely time to start thinking blue!Shelby is 18 weeks now, and everything is looking great. She looks so cute right now (I would post belly pics, but she would most definitely kill me if I did!) and is feeling Chase kick often. She's still due September 26th, but the baby measured about four days ahead today. Plus, her doctor will probably take him about 10 days early since this will be a scheduled c-section. So it looks like we'll have a baby boy by mid-September!
If anyone's interested, Chase is now about 5 inches long and weighs about 7 ounces. He can hear, blink, grasp, and suck his thumb (among other things ;-).

Oh Nance, those aren't our sonogram pics - I wish! I found them on google image search. Mom told me this morning that I need to put a disclaimer on those. But that is what our baby should look like right now!

I'm with Jillian. As long as Jared and Shelby are happy about another baby, so am I! It couldn't possibly be that they are getting pressure from Aunt Callie to produce more neices and nephews, could it?
I saw Tekia last night. She was helping your mom do some stuff for VBS. She was being a very good helper and she did take time for a very good hug, too! That always makes me happy!
