We have a new Christmas fan on our hands. Above is Halle with her gifts from Santa. As you can see, she loved Christmas! She was all smiles on Christmas morning (which was actually Christmas Eve - we asked Santa to come to our house a day early since I had to work on Christmas day). Santa brought Halle a play mat, some books, car seat toys, a baby doll, and a teddy bear.
Halle's gifts from the rest of us included more books, a Baby Einstein DVD, a new silver bracelet, and a glow worm. Her favorite is the glow worm, which I got her, of course (though I knew she loved it, because before I bought it I showed it to her at Walmart and she smiled . . . is that cheating?).
She was also impressed with her baby doll.
She loves her glow worm! She smiles at it as if it were an actual person talking to her.
Though we wish Halle's parents could've been with her for Christmas, we loved getting to spoil her and trying to make her first Christmas as special as possible. And we I also enjoyed capturing lots of memories on film to share with her new family when we meet them . . . like this video. (Try to tune out all the Christmas chatter in the background.)
