My blog's back to normal, and I'm rather sad about it.
But, alas, I do have some happy news. Every night on my way home from work I always call and see how Mom's day went. Every Wednesday night I always pray she won't answer, not because I don't want to talk to her, but because I'm always hoping she will have felt like going to church with the rest of the family. And every Wednesday night since her surgery, she's answered. This week she didn't. Of course then I was afraid she only had like three red blood cells and was passed out on the floor, so I immediately called her cell phone. And she was at church. :-) First time at church on a Wednesday night in four months!
So this has been a pretty good week for Trix. The first few days were rough simply because she was still feeling the effects of last week's treatment. Then Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday were three good days in a row! Mom said she felt like herself again. :-) She was able to do a little shopping and finally get some clothes that fit her post-Whipple, post-chemo figure. On Thursday she went to the grocery and cooked dinner, and last night we went to a movie. Unfortunately today hasn't been a great day, and Mom has spent most of it on the couch. But we're not complaining - three good days in a row is a lot more than we usually get to enjoy in one week! Hoping tomorrow will be better and she'll be able to go to to church.
Oh, and she still has her hair!
Mom's big post-chemo CT scan is on Monday. Pray, pray, pray for no signs of cancer! Pray that God will reveal His glory in big ways on Monday!
