Eight and half hours later . . .
Dr. B called at 4:15 to tell us that surgery was over! He was able to get good margins around the tumor and removed everything he was expecting to remove. He also removed a few of the surrounding lymph nodes that may or may not have been involved (I assume we'll know later after some testing). Overall, he said he was pleased with how everything went.

A nurse called at 4:45 to tell us that Mom is in the recovery room and doing well. It'll probably be an hour or so before we can go back and see her. She's still intubated and probably will be when we see her, but Dr. B doesn't expect her to be on the ventilator for too much longer.
Praise God from whom all blessings flow! Great is His faithfulness!
