CT update

Quick update for you non-facebookers . . . Mom's CT scan showed some fluid around her liver. Dr. B didn't seem alarmed by this; apparently it's a common complication. He's going to start Mom on antibiotics to take care of any infection. If this doesn't get better, they'll have to put in drain tubes to drain the fluid. But we're hoping and praying that the antibiotics will take care of any infection and the fluid will reabsorb on its own.

One good thing came out of the CT scan . . . the contrast moved right through Mom's system like it should, so Dr. B gave her the go-ahead to have water or anything else she wants to drink tonight! He said tomorrow she can try soup, jello, applesauce, etc. Right now all she cares about is getting some Crystal Light lemonade or peach tea. :-)
