Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! Feliz Navidad! Buon Natale!

Thought I'd share some pics of our day (the pic to the left was taken right before bed last night...and, yes, Faith the bear has a Christmas dress). Santa was good to us this year!

As I watched Jamal and Tekia tearing into their presents this morning, I wondered what this Christmas morning might have been like for them if their paths hadn't crossed with Agape's a few years ago. Would they have made Christmas cookies last night and left some out for Santa? Would they have had Christmas trees in their living rooms? Would they have hopped out of bed this morning and woken up everyone in their houses? I don't know. It makes me sad to think about what their lives might have been like.

I'm so thankful that they woke up this morning to find that Santa had come to see them...that they were special enough to get presents just for being them. There are so many children like Jamal and Kia who didn't have a morning like that. I tried to find Steven Curtis Chapman's music video for "All I Really Want for Christmas", but the closest I could come was this video of him singing the song at a Christmas event last year. On this Christmas night, please say a prayer for the 114,000 waiting children in America...who are hoping that they will finally find their families this Christmas.
