One year ago today...

we got a call from our friend and social worker, Claire, telling us that little Jordan Rose had been born!

After praying many prayers on Jordan's behalf, it was such a relief to hear that she had arrived kicking and screaming and was perfectly healthy. She was our "I" baby, so we called her Ivie Claire for the first few weeks of her life. Her adoptive parents named her Jordan. Speaking of her parents, they go to church with us and have been so great about letting us continue to be a part of Jordan's life. I recently kept her while they were out of town, and we had so much fun. She is such a sweet girl, and we are so blessed to have had her for a little while.

I can't think of today without thinking of Jordan's birth mother and the selfless decision that she was making this time last year. I'm so thankful that God led her to Agape and ultimately led Jordan to her forever family.

I took these when Jordan was here last week. I'll give a more complete report (with more pics) of our week together later. :-)

Happy 1st Birthday, Jordan!

Hey Callie,

we like reading your blog. It's fun to keep up with your family from so far away. I love the pictures of Jordan. What kind of camera do you have?

Love, Benay

Hey Benay! I have a Fujifilm S3100, but I don't think they make it anymore. They have a newer model now. I got mine before HUF almost three years ago. It's been a great camera.
