bye bye, barn

Thanks to Patty for these pictures. Good thing the mayor got her a tiny new camera that she can carry around in her purse. ;-) If you're wondering why the fire fighters seem to be just standing around and watching during the worst part of the fire, it's because they couldn't get their trucks back there. They had to wait on a smaller truck that could get across our ditch and through the gate. By that point, it was way too late to save the barn or anything in it. Thank goodness they were able to keep the fire from spreading to the trees and the grass.

And just to prove that Patty actually is the fire department paparazzi, here is another picture that was on her camera from earlier that same day (if you haven't noticed, she made the mistake of giving me her camera for the night, haha). Just a school bus in a house. No big deal.
