one month

Halle's age can now be measured in months (but, if you like weeks, she was 4 weeks on Sunday). While things are kind of at a standstill with her birth family, Halle is growing and changing every day. She was 6lbs, 12oz at her 2-week check-up, and I would guess that she's well over 7lbs by now. Her little cheeks are getting fatter and more kissable every day. She's smiling now (real smiles, not the ones in her sleep . . . though we still see those, too), but we have yet to catch it on camera. She's a very fast smiler. It seems she often does it when she's up for her 4am feeding, and neither Mom nor I are in the mood to grab the camera at that time. For now, enjoy these non-smiling pictures (except for the sweet sleep smile), taken today on her 1-month birthday.
