It's so hard to believe that Hunter is SEVEN! That does not sound like a "baby" age. At all. :-( I officially have a big boy nephew. We celebrated (or, should I say, a bunch of little 7-year-olds celebrated) with basketball-playing party at their church's gym.
opening presents

*A pre-present-opening story:
On the way to the party, my mom gave Hunter a very mom-ish talk about saying thank you for all his gifts, being grateful, etc. This little quiz happened after her speech.
Granna: So, Hunter, what will you do if you open a present that maybe wasn't exactly what you asked for?
Hunter: Oh, probably just . . . throw it away.
Umm, maybe gift cards are your best bet for Hunter.

Avery and Casen caught

And then it was his daddy's turn. If my oldest nephew is now a real big boy, then my 30-year-old big brother is most definitely now a real grown-up!

Chase was happy to help dispose of the some of the cake.

And the end of our day of birthday-partying, Hunter lost his first tooth! So proud.

And then it was our turn (the two of us on the right, that is). Here are Cari-Beth, Brooks, & me at Shogun.

Brooks and I turned 25 last week, on the 24th and 25th, respectively. 25 on the 25th. Is there a name for that kind of birthday? We celebrated last weekend with what has become an annual dinner at Shogun with our parents and some friends.

Callie,
Thank you so much! I hope your birthday was fun too!
Love,
Bronwyn
I think your age on the date is called a "golden birthday." Or at least that is what some girl told me when I turned 20 on the 20th.
