the wig

In going through all my pictures for the Gotcha Day posts, I've come across many pics of our family in Mom's wig. So, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, I've decided to dedicate a post to the hair that breast cancer has brought into our lives. I wish we'd never had to see it, but it does keep us entertained. Who knew a wig could be so amusing?

On a more serious note, I highly recommend a good sense of humor for times like these! You can always find something to laugh about if you look hard enough.

It seems that Kia enjoys wearing the wig the most.

Jamal likes it because he can "flip his hair."

Hunter got an early start.

Avery's never needed much help in the hair department!

The wig was a big source of entertainment on a train ride from Venice to Florence when my parents were visiting in Italy! Dad and my friend Kayla modeled it for us (actually I think we all wore it at some point during the trip).

And then Kayla wore the wig back to the villa and tried to convince everyone that she'd had gotten her hair all cut off while we were traveling, haha. The best part was watching the other people on the bus as they watched our interaction...I gave her the wig, she put it on, then we switched jackets so she could use my hood. And we wonder why they think of us as "crazy Americans."
Though there are no pictures, I assure y'all that Jared and I have both worn the wig. It's hard to get all my hair up under it! I don't know about Shelby, though. We'll have to work on that.

I said it then and I'll say it now...Razorback Randy looks like a Beatle in that picture. And thanks for not putting the picture of me in the wig...this blog doesn't need a mullet.

Oh, believe me, if I had that mullet pic, it would be on here! I don't think the pic of you was on my camera. If it's on yours, you can send it to me and I'll be glad to add it. ;-)

I don't think I have the picture either. I think Micah had it, and I'm pretty sure I convinced her to delete it. That picture isn't funny, Callie - it scared people.

Well, if Micah had it, we'll probably never see it again anyway, even if she didn't delete it.
