ten days 'til we meet CHASE!

Baby Chase will be here in ten short days! Shelby is having a scheduled c-section on the morning of September 17th (that is, unless Chase decides to make his debut before then). She's 37 weeks this week, which means the baby is officially full-term. Other than the fact that Shelby's really ready for Chase to get here, she's doing great. Chase is also doing well...practicing his underwater breathing just like a little fish and getting fatter. :-) He probably weighs about 6 lbs right now. Shelby thinks he's going to be bigger than the others. We'll see soon enough! Shelby also thinks he's going to be hyper because he moves all the time! The rest of us can testify to this as we have often seen Shelby's belly jump as Chase kicks and turns. It's so cool and funny to watch little arms and legs trying to poke out.

I kept Hunter and Avery the other night and took them big brother/sister books from Granna. Hunter did not act impressed, but Avery was pretty fascinated by her book. She talks about Chase a lot (she just talks a lot in general, so Chase has to get thrown in the mix somewhere). She was showing me his nursery and was especially proud of the baby wipes for some odd reason. She kept saying, "Look at these little wipes for Chase!" Hunter, on the other, is clearly tired of all the big brother questions. He just says "Yes, I'm excited" and goes on about his business, haha.


Please continue to pray that these last few days of Shelby's pregnancy will be uneventful, that she'll have a safe delivery with zero complications, and that she and Jared will have a healthy baby boy in a few days!
