Brooks and me with Paw Paw at our 1st birthday partyPaw Paw finally got moved to a stepdown room this afternoon! He's much happier with this TV than he was with the one in ICU (I'm betting that most ICU patients don't care about their TVs), but he still has some complaints about the food, haha. He seems to be in good spirits. I thought he looked better tonight than he has since Wednesday. He's off oxygen now; hopefully he can stay that way. His labs are all looking normal with the exception of his creatinine, which is an indicator of kidney function; thus they are encouraging him to drink lots of fluids. His heart is still not doing exactly what it's supposed to. He went back into an irregular rhythm (atrial fibrillation) last night but isn't having any symptoms. So right now we're just waiting to see what the heart cath shows tomorrow. We're not sure what time that will take place, but I'll try to post when I find out. Please pray that they won't find anything that requires surgery! We do not want to do the open-heart surgery thing again.
In other news. . . because I know Paw Paw would want me to post about it and because it's slightly contagious in this city . . . GO TIGERS!
