happy weekend

As previously mentioned, there is a new mama in Halle's life. All involved plan on this one being her last. :-) Halle would love to introduce you to her new mom, Cande.

After months of praying for her, we finally got to meet Cande last Friday! Halle will also be getting a big sister named Cierra. Cierra is five years old and very excited about Miss Halle coming to live with her. We got to meet her briefly at church this morning, but I haven't gotten a picture of her with Halle yet. We were so happy to have Cande, Cierra, and Halle's social worker Claire come to church with us this morning so our church family could pray over Halle and her new family. And I'm sure our church family, many of whom have grown to adore Halle as much as we do, was able to see that we are sending Halle to a home where she will be quite loved and cherished.

Halle's "transitioning" seems to be going very well. We are trying to have Halle, Cande, and Cierra spend lots of time together before Halle makes her big move, in hopes that things won't be quite so confusing for her when the time comes. The plan is for Halle to move on Friday, as long as things are still going as well as they are.

We thank you for your continued prayers for this precious girl!

Callie,
I know this has been such a bitter/sweet week of emotions for all of you...so sad to learn about Micah Rine...I didn't know her but Joni worked with her sister-in-law, Kelli, for a year at the Beebe coop...so many questions unanswered and such hurt...
I know it will be hard to see Halle go...and yet happy too that she has found a home...her new mom looks so happy in the picture...you have made so many precious pics of Halle and I have loved seeing her grow....It is the letting go that would be so hard for me....I have admired your family for years at the work you do with the children...we have a family in our church that keeps foster children that the court takes away....they just had to say goodbye to a precious little girl they had had since birth...i had in the nursery class and she had the most beautiful smile...I pray that she and Halle will be happy in their new homes...
tell your folks hi....

She is beautiful and I know your hearts are bittersweet aching. Praying for this little girl to have a blessed and happy life feeling and being loved by so many.

Also praying for your friend and her family. that is so sad. I am thankful no children were involved.

Found you through mckmama.

God bless
