No extra chairs in the chemo room today, so I get to sit in the library and blog while Trish gets her herceptin...
We have mostly good news! Mom's CT scan showed those mystery lymph nodes we've been watching to be the same size from some angles and slightly bigger from others. The "bigger" is less than a five percent increase, which the radiologist actually read as "no change." Dr. Tauer doesn't seem very concerned about it, but he's concerned enough that he wants to bump up Mom's next scan - just to be on the safe side. She'll have a PET scan next time if insurance will pay for it (you can read my explanation of PET vs. CT scans here). Instead of the normal three months, this scan will instead be in six weeks, on February 21st. Pray for the lymph nodes in question not to be any bigger and for there to be no surprises (i.e., additional "hot spots")!

Mom's tumor markers were drawn today, but it will probably be a few days before we get those results (unless something's wrong). Pray for a postcard!
Thank you all so much for covering my mom in prayer today! Rest assured that you have been prayed for, too!
