a very prayerful Monday

You've got your work cut out for you on this Monday, Team Tricia. It's a big week for Trish and her cancer buddies. Your assigments are as follows . . .

• Trish . . . Tomorrow my mom has another CT scan to check for any signs of recurrence of PC or BC. If you need a refresher, the report from her last scan and doctor's appointment can be found here. As for tomorrow, pray that those mystery lymph nodes will be unchanged (or smaller) and that there will be no other signs of cancer anywhere on the scan! Pray for normal tumor markers and other lab work. Pray for wisdom for Dr. T.
• Karen . . . Like my mom, Karen is a breast cancer survivor, and like my mom, she's now fighting a different form of cancer. She was diagnosed with leukemia last summer. Today she is being admitted to a hospital in Dallas to begin preparations for a bone marrow transplant scheduled for the 17th. This is actually her second attempt at this. Pray that everything will go according to plan so Karen can actually have the transplant this time! Pray this transplant will provide a complete cure for her so she can soon be back home taking care of her kids. 
• Joan . . . Our friend Joan has been battling stage IV lung cancer for over 2 years. She had MRI's this morning and will have a PET scan tomorrow. These are her first scans since undergoing Cyber Knife treatment last fall. Please pray for good results! Pray for no new sites of metastasis and that the ones already there will be smaller or gone! Joan should get her results on Wednesday. 
• Kathy . . . Mom's new friend Kathy doesn't have anything big scheduled for this week (that I know of). But she's fighting stage IV pancreatic cancer, so I'm pretty sure that makes every week a big one. Pray God will lead her doctors to the right treatments for her and that He will use those treatments to bring her healing!

God has already done BIG things in the lives of each of these women throughout their cancer journeys, and I expect this week will be no different. Pray with great expectations for His glory to be revealed! Regardless of what the scans show, we just want more of Him. 

I'll be hanging out with Mom at West Clinic tomorrow. The day will start around 9:15. Mom will have lab, scan, visit with Dr. T, and then a Herceptin treatment . . . with lots of waiting in between. I doubt we'll be done before 2pm, but I'll update as soon as I can! Thanks for your prayers and love!
