Oh what a tangled web we weave.

There's lots of praying going on among my friends and family these days, which is always a good thing.

The most urgent prayers are currently being sent up on behalf of baby Lydia, Wynton and Madison's (aka Little P) new baby sister. Yvonne and Petrick became the proud parents of a tiny 1 pound, 9 ounce baby girl yesterday afternoon. Since her c-section, Yvonne's blood pressure has come down enough for her to move to a regular postpartum room, and she is doing well. Little Lydia has been doing really well until tonight. We're not exactly sure what's wrong, but Lydia is currently being transferred to the children's hospital as a result of some type of preemie scare. Please pray that whatever problem she's having is fixable and that God will heal her completely! Her big sister was known to be pretty dramatic in her newborn days, so maybe she's just following in Madison's footsteps. :-)

Also praying for Yvonne and Lydia is our friend and neighbor, Lisa. Lisa is a regular baby-sitter for our foster babies, and she kept Madison a few times while Madison lived with us. Even though she's never met them, Lisa has been texting us frequently over the last few days asking about Yvonne and Lydia.

Many people have been praying for Lisa as well, including Yvonne and Petrick. Four Sundays ago, Yvonne and Petrick came to our church to share their story. While there, they heard about Lisa and her long struggle with liver failure. Lisa was too sick to attend church that day. The following Saturday, Lisa got the call that a liver donor had finally been found for her. I immediately texted Yvonne and several others to share the news and request prayers. Lots of people prayed, including Yvonne. Yvonne works with transplant families, so Lisa's story was especially meaningful to her. On Easter Sunday, Lisa had a successful liver transplant! She's at home recovering now. She's struggling with pain and appetite issues, but, for the most part, she's doing really well. Please keep Lisa and her family in your prayers!

And then there's my family, hogger of prayer warriors. ;-) Lisa and her family have been praying for Trish and the rest of us for years, especially since Mom's pancreatic cancer diagnosis. And you know my family and Madison's already have a long history of praying for each other. So tonight as we pray for Lydia and Yvonne and Petrick and Lisa, we know that Yvonne and Petrick and Lisa are also praying for us. And for each other. Oh, what a tangled web we weave!

Tomorrow my mom and I will be spending the day at West Clinic while she has a scan, doctor's appointment, and treatment. This will be her first scan since starting treatment with Tykerb about 6 weeks ago (for breast cancer in lymph nodes). We're hoping and praying for a scan with no signs of pancreatic cancer and less signs of breast cancer. Or, better yet, no cancer at all! We'll be talking with Dr. Tauer about how Mom's tolerating her new medicine and make any changes necessary. Pray with us for good news tomorrow! I'll update when I can!

So thankful for these friends and this beautiful crazy prayer web we're all tangled in.
